Stand for your Finances

Part 8

One day I was praying, and the Lord told me what my problem was. He said: " You are trusting in my provision." I was amazed, because wasn't this how it worked? I didn't immediately understand what God meant. Suddenly it became clear to me. When God supplies an amount of money to me, I am so excited and then I cherish the money. As soon as it becomes less, my attitude changes, because I become worried again. I want to then protect what is left. You see, my trust was in the gift (provision) and not in the Giver.

Can I expect something back, a return?

We have been taught for so many years to give, but never to actually expect to get anything back. It is correct: I must, in obedience to God's voice, give to others without expecting anything back from them, but I can have a big expectation from my Heavenly Father's side. To sow without expecting a harvest from God, is just as wrong as not to sow at all.

This earth with all its wealth, was created by God, so that His children could enjoy it.

1 Corinthians 10:26 "For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof."

The enemy is the god of the fallen world system and of lies concerning finances, through which the children of God, and in fact the whole world, are paralysed.

2 Corinthians 4:4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

Satan has spread his lies in and through the church, like: "The more the children of God suffer, the more they will seek His face and the more humble they will be." How much damage is not caused in people's lives by this so-called, good teaching? It is God's heart felt desire that it goes well with us in all things.

3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

Psalms 35:27 "Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant."

NB! In order to experience this financial inheritance in Christ in your life, it is important to be in a relationship with Him. It is not just a few instant words you speak out, and everything is then sorted out and perfect. There is a path to follow, on which we practice to change our negatively formed thoughts, caused from years of wrong teachings and lies, and replacing them with that which is our inheritance in Christ.

Ephesians 4:22 "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

23: And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24: And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."

Galatians 6:9 "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

It is wonderful to know that our loving Heavenly Father wants us to be blessed in the financial area of our lives, so that we can also live out His love tangibly in the world.
