Definition of Fear: A feeling of agitation and anxiety caused by the presence or imminence of danger.

The Lord is my Light and my Salvation--whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27: 1

Most of us had that feeling of fear lurking in us. The world we live in is in a constant battle against fear. Many people fear the dark, loosing their husbands or wives, fear of tomorrow, fear of financial difficulties etc. In South Africa most people fear for the safety of their live’s each and every day. I know of many standers who feared, that God will not do what He promised them, to restore their broken marriages and then they give up to find themselves more fragile than before.

Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord. Psalm 27: 14

Where did fear come from? Fear had his claws in humanity in the beginning, when Adam and Eve lived in  paradise. God gave both Adam and Eve everything they needed, but the enemy tricked them in believing that there was more, and they fell for his deceiving lies. What happened when they ate the forbidden fruit? Fear entered their hearts; immediately they felt naked and alone. Most cases fear is a symptom of unbelief or disobedience to God and His word.

Say to those who are of a fearful and hasty heart, Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance; with the recompense of God He will come and save you. Isaiah 35: 4

Fear also comes from a lack of knowledge. What ever you Fear don’t worry because Jesus Christ is always near. I have read a book where the author states that; in the bible the Lord told His people not to fear 366 times. So the Lord must be serious when He makes a statement like that, proclaiming that we, as His children need not fear anything. WOW what a promise, what a wonderful and powerful God we serve. I had fear lurking in my heart for ages, I had memorized all the scriptures to hit this fear back, but it just came back when something triggered it over and over again. What could I do to get rid of this? Then one night the Lord spoke to me through a book, telling me that all we have to do is submit ourselves to Him and He will defeat the enemy. We can do nothing without our God or out of our own strength. He is our only Hope, fortress and redeemer.

Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. Isaiah 41: 10

Cry out to your Lord when you feel the walls are closing around you. Don’t depend on your own strength or knowledge, submit and humble yourselves before God. He will deliver you from all your pain, anxiety, worries or fears. We serve a mighty Faithful God that always comes to save us out of any problems we might face. God is true to His word, He is reliable, He is unchangeable, He is unshakable, He is merciful, He is strong, He is loveable, and your are His special child who He adores and loves.

For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you! Isaiah 41: 13

God loved us so much that He send His only son to die for us. He gave us all the power to step on scorpions and serpents. All the authority He gave to us, to rule this earth with Him at our side. So when you feel alone or fear anything just remember who’s your Father. Praise and Glory to Him forever. Thank you Jesus

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. 2 Timothy 1: 7
