The Fossil heart

Mark 6:52

For they considered not [the miracle] of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

Have you ever wondered how a fossil is formed, how did a living being once got trapped into a fossil, what is the process in the making of a fossil. If done some research and this is what I found.

Hebrews 3:12-13

"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin"

In this process of fossilization plant leaves, and some soft body parts of fish, reptiles, and marine invertebrates decompose leaving behind only the carbon. This carbon creates an impression in the rock outlining the fossil, sometimes with great detail. This is the most common method of fossil preservation. Minerals fill the cellular spaces and crystallize. The shape of the original plant or animal is preserved as rock. Sometimes the original material is dissolved away leaving the form and structure but none of the organic material remains. So there is a mineral reaction when the process of fossilization starts , so some minerals trigger the process and given the right period of time the creature will be a stone fossil before you know it. Many people today seems like they are entering a fossil process and some hearts are already set in a fossil stone. Because of the vastness of our society if you don’t have the right gear on to stand against the attack of the world and the enemy , it will just be time before your heart will start to go into the process of fossilization. The only way we can stop the process from happening is to have the living water that will always keep us safe and keep our heart wet with its love so that our heart will not harden. The living water is our Saviour Jesus Christ , Jesus will always comfort us and give us a solution for our problems , all we have to do is to commit our life’s to His will and resign from our own will and plans , Umf! Sound easy right , wrong , believe me it sounds easier as what really is .

Zechariah 7:11-12:

"But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts."

To bow down to His will is a daily task , daily you must pick up you cross and follow Him , if you don’t you will feel the fossil effect , and its empty and num . Staying in the Lords water of love is always refreshing and helps you to stay soft and gentle. Well you my ask me , if someone’s heart is already threw the hall process of fossilization , is there still hope for them? Well Yes of course in Jesus language there doesn’t exist the words like impossible or its to late , Jesus can and will soften any harden heart , no heart is to hard for Him to brake. Let’s see what the process behind freeing a rock fossil is.

If the process is diverted backwards the seemingly harden rock fossil will be nothing more than a soft rubber mass of slug , you can try hitting the fossil with a hammer or sizzle but you will not get it even to crack the only way is to put it back in water and reverse the effect with the right amount of circumstance and events and patience , the fossil will not stand a chance.

Just as the human heart hardens in steps, so too it softens in steps. Because the first step in the hardening of the heart is not believing the word of God and falling into life’s deceitfulness, the first step in curing fossil hardheartedness is letting the word of God break the heart:

(Jeremiah 23:29).

"Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?"

The human heart is like clay. When soft, it’s easily moulded and shaped by God (Isaiah 64:8; Jeremiah 18:3-6). But once it hardens, it can no longer be moulded—it can only be broken.

Because sin hardens the heart, the second step in the cure of a hardened heart is repentance of the sin that caused the hardening. Whereas emotionalism might move the heart to sorrow and tears, the word of God breaks the heart and moves it to repentance. In Jeremiah 4:3-4, God compares this repentance to breaking up hard fallow ground and describes it as a circumcision of the heart. The fact that it can be circumcised shows that the repentant heart is no longer as hard as an adamant stone aka Fossil heart.

Because destructive pride is the final step in the hardening of the heart, true humbleness is the final step in the cure of the hardened heart. Hardheartedness is spiritual rigor mortis—and only humbleness will allow God to revive a dead heart. Although prides prevents a sinner from turning to God for help (Psalm 10:4), a
"contrite and humble spirit" will allow God "to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite one" (Isaiah 57:15). When God revives a human heart, He makes it soft instead of hard: "... God maketh my heart soft ..." (Job 23:16).

Its exactly the same in real life , you may have someone in your life who have the fossil heart syndrome and you can try what you want , every time you try to soften there hearts its just increasing the hardness , the only way you can soften any ones heart is to bring them to the feet of Jesus , praying for them daily , and asking the Lord to soften their hearts and take out the heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh(Jesus Heart). That process can start today all you need to do is to pray the Lords word into them , its almost like your placing little dynamites in there hearts and when the Lord come He ignite the dynamites and the softening process begins. Don’t get weary or negative when you don’t see results immediately, it doesn’t mean that if you don’t see anything with your eyes that nothing inside of them are happening , our Lord we serve is a Lord who honours His word and He will do what He promise to you. Once God has broken a hardened heart, revived it, and then softened it, it is ready and able to serve Him. The Lord has promised that after people humbly repent of their hard deeds,

Ezekiel 11:18-21

"I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you: and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD".

A synonym for "soft" is "tender." A tender heart is humble, responsive to the words of God, and kind and forgiving toward the brethren (2 Chronicles 34:27; Ephesians 4:32).

So go out today and send those dynamite seeds to your love ones , every day were getting closer to our Lords coming and the time we have left are getting less and less each day , the most loving thing you can do for someone is to praying for them , the day their heart got soften they will thank you for it and praise God for His guidance and patience.
